Watch Demolition Q&A with Jake Gyllenhaal, Jean-Marc Vallée, and Bryan Sipe at SXSW Film 2016

“All of the things I usually do to really create something very specifically, maybe even to protect myself … Jean-Marc just didn’t want anything to do with that process. He just wanted me. And so there is a naturalism to that character.” - Jake Gyllenhaal at SXSW

Director Jean-Marc Vallée (Dallas Buyers Club, Wild), screenwriter Bryan Sipe, and actor Jake Gyllenhaal joined us at the 2016 SXSW Film Festival for the U.S. Premiere of Demolition. After the screening, the group returned to the stage to discuss the origin of the story, assembling the cast and crew, and the naturalism that Gyllenhaal brings to the film.

Watch the video above for the complete post-screening Q&A and don't miss an in-depth conversation with Gyllenhaal at the SXSW Film Conference. Demolition screened at SXSW on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the historic Paramount Theatre and went on to win the Audience Award in the Headliners screening section. Catch the film in theaters starting April 8, 2016.
