2017 Official Showcase Presenter

Friendship Fever is the eclectic new label from the founders of Park The Van Records (Dr. Dog, Generationals, Floating Action) and husband and wife duo, Chris & Sabrina Watson, as well as former DIW Magazine Publisher, Mike Cloward. Based in Sacramento, CA, the label has already released music from Tess & Dave (featuring David Vandervelde) and minihorse. 2017 sees the new label debuting more music from new artists, as well as the return of some classics. That’s the fun part, right? Expect new records from Imaginary Tricks, Deep State, Wilding, Roselit Bone, Dustin Lovelis, Loud Sun, minihorse, and more. In October, Friendship Fever will release a deluxe reissue: the 20th Anniversary Edition of Grandaddy’s “Under the Western Freeway.” This is the label’s first SXSW showcase.

Date: Thursday, March 16
Venue: Maggie Mae’s (323 E 6th St.)
