Tell us a little about your session.

I am interested in how makers of interactive documentaries can engage their viewers into a more in-depth experience. I have observed that once people get past the flashy interface, they don't spend more than a minute or two looking at a project.

As documentary makers, we are looking for our audience to consider a topic in-depth and perhaps even want to influence public opinion. So, what “cinematic” and ”digimatic” devices do current interactive documentaries use and how can we do it better?

What are you hoping to get out of the experience?

I want to come away with renewed energy, excitement and inspiration for my next production.

What are you most looking forward to at SXSW Film 2013?

I am looking forward to seeing projects that are really using digital tools in unique ways. I know I won't be disappointed!

What are you hoping to get out of SXSW?

Looking forward to helping folks from top-to-bottom in the entertainment industry and beyond connect at this new, fast-paced and fun SXSW event.

What are you most looking forward to at SXSW Film 2013?

Meeting people! Seeing films! Eating! And hanging, obviously.

Tell us a random fact (or two!) about yourself.

I was a part-time personal aide to Mike Bloomberg in his first years as mayor and co-hosted a reality show produced by Curb Your Enthusiasm's Cheryl Hines on NBC called "School Pride" that was just like "Extreme Makeover," but for schools.
