Throughout all three nights of free concerts on Town Lake, badge holders can show their credentials to gain entry into the Registrants Glen where they will receive complimentary Monster Energy, Pepsi and Miller Lite, as well as access to the two-story Monster Energy viewing deck, from which the stage can easily be seen above the masses. Furthermore, the Austin skyline provides an incredible backdrop to the stage, where some of the biggest acts of SXSW 2013 are performing. This year's free music showcases at the Auditorium Shores stage get started tonight with a Latin Rock lineup courtesy of NPR Music featuring Café Tacvba, Molotov and more. Tomorrow night's showcase will include the interstellar talents of The Flaming Lips, Jim James fresh off the release of his debut solo-album, and indie rock's newest supergroup, Divine Fits. The final day of music at the Shores will be a tribute to the late multi-instrumentalist and legendary performer, Levon Helm, and will be headlined by an all-star group of musicians known as The Midnight Ramble Band that have shared the stage with Levon at his legendary Midnight Rambles held in the barn of his home in Woodstock, New York for years.
