Stand-Up Dan Soder Makes His Late Night Debut

Written by Samantha Pitchel | Wednesday, Jan 9, 2013

2013 is shaping up to be an exciting year for late night. Sure, there have already been time slot switches and rumors of Leno leaving, but if stand-up (and SXSW Comedy alumni) Dan Soder’s debut on Conan is any indication, we’ve got a lot of great stand-up to look forward to this year.

You might recognize Soder as the host of Yahoo Screen’s web series Mansome (produced by Morgan Spurlock, Jason Bateman and Will Arnett), or from the cast of MTV’s Guy Code. New Yorkers might know him from regular performances at the award-winning The Creek and The Cave theater in Long Island City, or as the winner of Caroline’s “New York’s Funniest” competition in 2011. Podcast fans look forward to his frequent appearances of Robert Kelly’s You Know What Dude. He’s also made the festival rounds, from South Beach to Montreal and, of course, SXSW.
